Loryn, on the dining room table, with Ashlyn beside her. Loryn did some weird little dance (maybe she was trying to be a mermaid?), while Ash watched and giggled.
Tori helped Lolo with some wooden puzzles today, at the dining room table. Loryn thought this was funny...especially when Tori started talking in her "Donald-Duck-on-crack" voice.
That little kid really looks up to her big sister. And Tori just loves to make Loryn laugh.

Dave's Mother, Elsie passed away July 4, 2006. She left us her house/property in Nelson County, Virginia, and we were there today to pack up some of her things.
We have decided to sell the property, which is a little sad for all of us. It's a beautiful piece of land, but the house needs more work than we can put into it at this time. We just bought a beautiful home in Staunton, and we've never been happier, but we're really gonna miss going out to Nelson.
So strange to be wearing a tank top and light-weight sweater on *January 14*! The high today was 69...absolutely gorgeous weather...which just made us miss Elsie more. She had quite a green thumb, and beautiful days like today remind me of her. I could just see her outside with us, puttering around in the garden and watching the girls run and play.

I do have some good news!
1. My friend Dan and I are going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers (with Gnarls Barkley opening for them) on January 26. Dan bought the tickets for me, him, and his sister as a Christmas gift. Actually, it was a Festivus gift...and I'm way stoked to go.
2. Dave and I got tix to see George Carlin in concert. He's coming to Charlottesville a few days after my birthday. Dave, if you're reading this...this does NOT count as a birthday present, as I actually logged on and bought the tickets! (Don't worry...I'll help you come up with other ideas...like that cool Six Feet Under box set...love ya, babe).

1. I've got an ingrown toenail on my left foot's big toe (the one who went to market). It hurts.
2. I'm tired, and it's late, but Loryn is still running around dancing to the Wiggles and throwing toys in the trash (don't ask), so I'll be up with her for a bit. Maybe if I take my contacts out, she'll get the hint?
3. Already I've broken one of my New Year's Resolutions (the one about eating healthier, and trying to maintain a vegetarian diet).
4. My hair is boring me, and I feel the need to break another of my resolutions (the one about letting my hair grow longer). I really want to get a haircut. Then again, I'd love to grow it out, so I could style it like Katherine Moennig's.
Forgive my self-indulgent little rant, would ya?
